Meet Justin Huycke, 25/26 U13AAA Head Coach
Throughout his youth, Justin played minor hockey in North Bay and following his days of playing, he wished to stay involved in hockey and turned to coaching.

He has over 10 years of coaching experience at the AAA level. Justin plans on bringing his experience and knowledge of the game to the newest group of North Bay Trappers in order to assist in developing them into the best hockey players and teammates they can be.

Through his coaching career, Justin has been part of 3 League Championships with the 2001 group (from U13 to U15) and a League Championship with 2007 group (at U15). The championship with the 2007 group is his most memorable because of what that group endured, persevered through combined with the work they put in throughout the season to overcome obstacles, ending in success. Justin, working with former Trappers coaching staff, has solved even the most talented of teams to get the wins and he attributes success to working with experienced coaches and hard working players.

Justin was also a member of the coaching staff for the Big Nickel Championship with the 2004 group at the U15 division. Justin helped foster an extremely close group of players that worked hard to succeed that year.

Justin has been in the OHF tournament on 3 occasions and the commitment and dedication learned through the process to getting to those events was invaluable to assist him in moving ahead with the 2013 U13AAA group for the 25/26 season.

Justin spent the 24/25 season with this group as an assistant coach and the coaching staff for that group has brought them a long way to winning the U12AA NOHA Tournament of Champions in 2025!

The North Bay & District Trappers Hockey Association is excited to offer Justin the opportunity to now take the lead and with the help of Scott Huycke and Ryan Mills as assistant coaches, he promises to deliver an elite program to this lucky group of players.

Congratulations Justin, good luck in 25/26 - lets get to work!
